A pair of extremely rare Nintendo Game & Watch units, long considered the crown jewels of any serious collection, have hit the market. These are not ordinary handhelds. They are officially licensed variants that were bundled with a French cereal and infant food product back in the early 1980s. Collectors have spent decades chasing these specific models, and now two of them are available for purchase.

The units were produced as promotional items for a brand called "Petit Dejeuner" and "P'tit" products. They feature custom branding on the casing, which sets them apart from the standard retail versions. What makes them even more special is their condition. Both consoles reportedly come with their original packaging, which is almost unheard of for items this old. Most surviving examples were either thrown away by parents or heavily played with by kids, so finding them in near-mint condition is a miracle.

Experts in the retro gaming community have described these as the "holy grail" of Nintendo history. The Game & Watch line was the company's first major success in the portable gaming market, long before the Game Boy. But these particular variants were never sold in stores. They were only available through a mail-in offer or as a direct giveaway, which is why so few exist today. The seller has not disclosed the asking price, but past sales of similar units have reached five figures. For serious collectors, this is likely the only chance to own a piece of Nintendo's earliest marketing history.
