RuneScape Dragonwilds: How to Claim Your Mount

Players exploring the Dragonwilds in RuneScape now have a clear path to obtaining a mount, but it requires a bit of legwork and some interaction with the wilderness's more elusive characters. The process involves tracking down Vannaka, the veteran combat trainer, and then locating the mysterious Nature Spirits scattered across the region.

First, head to the Dragonwilds camp where Vannaka is stationed. He is not hiding in a cave or behind a puzzle - he stands near the main bonfire area, ready to give you a task. Speak with him, and he will direct you to find three Nature Spirits. These spirits are not aggressive, but they are easy to miss if you are rushing. They appear as faint, glowing wisps near ancient trees and ruined structures. Each spirit requires a simple offering of herbs or logs to reveal itself. Once you have spoken to all three, return to Vannaka.

He will then reward you with a basic mount token. Use the token from your inventory, and a sturdy, scaled creature will appear for you to ride. The mount does not have special combat abilities, but it significantly speeds up travel across the Dragonwilds, which is helpful given the region's size and the number of aggressive monsters roaming around. Keep in mind that if you die in the wilderness, your mount will not be lost - it is tied to your account permanently once unlocked. However, you cannot use it inside dungeons or instanced boss arenas.

For players who want a more unique appearance, Vannaka also offers a secondary quest chain after the first mount is obtained. This involves taming a rare variant by feeding it specific meats found only from hunting certain dragons. It takes longer, but the cosmetic difference is noticeable. the mount system in Dragonwilds is straightforward and rewards exploration rather than grinding.
