Marvel Comics is tapping directly into the nostalgia of the 1990s and early 2000s with the launch of its new "Marvel MaXimum Collection" series. This initiative aims to preserve a distinct and mature era of storytelling by collecting titles from the iconic Marvel MAX imprint into premium, oversized hardcover editions.

The MAX line, launched in 2001, was renowned for its edgy, creator-driven content aimed at adult audiences, free from the restrictions of the Comics Code Authority. The new collections promise to bring seminal works back into print with high-quality presentation. Initial titles confirmed for the series include the critically acclaimed "Alias" by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos, which introduced the private investigator Jessica Jones, and Garth Ennis's brutal, legendary run on "The Punisher."
